Author Guidelines

Neo Anoa: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat

1. General Requirements

Manuscripts submitted to Neo Anoa: Journal of Community Service must be original works derived from community service activities and must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English using proper academic language. Authors are fully responsible for the content of the manuscript, including the accuracy of data and references.


2. Scope of Articles

The journal accepts manuscripts related to community service activities in the fields of science and technology, economics, politics and governance, socio-cultural studies, environment, law, science, and health, particularly those focusing on community empowerment.


3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  • Title: Concise and representative of the content (maximum 15 words).
  • Author(s): Full name(s) without academic titles, including affiliation and corresponding email.
  • Abstract: Written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (150–250 words), covering background, objectives, methods, results, and impact.
  • Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords.
  • Introduction: Background, problem statement, and objectives.
  • Method: Description of implementation stages, location, time, and approach.
  • Results and Discussion: Presentation of results and analysis of their impact on the community.
  • Conclusion: Summary of findings and recommendations.
  • Acknowledgements (optional)
  • References

4. Manuscript Format

Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word with the following format:

  • A4 paper size
  • Margins: 3 cm (top and left), 2.5 cm (bottom and right)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Length: 10–15 pages (including tables and figures)
  • Page numbers at the bottom

Tables and figures must be clearly numbered, titled, and referenced in the text.


5. Citation and References

References must follow the latest edition of the APA (American Psychological Association) style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero. A minimum of 10 references is required, with at least 70% sourced from relevant and recent scholarly journals (published within the last 5 years).


6. Publication Ethics

Authors must adhere to publication ethics, including:

  • Avoiding plagiarism (maximum similarity index of 25%)
  • Properly citing all sources
  • Avoiding data fabrication and falsification
  • Acknowledging all contributors appropriately

7. Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Editors reserve the right to accept, reject, or request revisions based on reviewers’ recommendations.


8. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal System (OJS) of Neo Anoa: Journal of Community Service. Authors are required to register before submitting their manuscripts.


9. Publication Fee

Information regarding publication fees (if applicable) will be provided on the journal’s official website.
