Publication Ethics

Neo Anoa: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat

Neo Anoa is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on internationally recognized principles of ethical publishing and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given through appropriate citations. Authors should present accurate data and an objective discussion of the significance of their work. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.

All authors listed in the manuscript must have made significant contributions to the work and approve the final version of the manuscript. Any conflicts of interest that may influence the results or interpretation of the manuscript must be clearly disclosed. Authors must also ensure that their work does not contain plagiarism, with a similarity index not exceeding the journal’s acceptable limit.

2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for deciding which manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published based on the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editors must evaluate manuscripts fairly without discrimination based on authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher. Editors should not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent.

3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions and in improving the quality of the manuscript. Reviewers must conduct their reviews objectively and provide constructive feedback. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others except as authorized by the editor. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any conflicts of interest should be disclosed, and reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have competing interests.

4. Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial or financial interests. The publisher supports the editorial team in maintaining ethical standards and handling cases of alleged misconduct.

5. Plagiarism and Misconduct

All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be screened for plagiarism. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable. If misconduct is identified at any stage of the publication process, the manuscript will be rejected. If misconduct is discovered after publication, the journal may issue a correction or retract the article as appropriate.

6. Complaints and Appeals

The journal provides a mechanism for authors to appeal editorial decisions or file complaints regarding the publication process. All complaints will be handled fairly, transparently, and in a timely manner.
